What is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang?

MLBB is a 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) where two teams battle to destroy each other’s Base while defending their own.

Think of it like a game of chess, but faster and with heroes instead of pieces—every move you make matters, and teamwork is the key to victory!

Game Objective

• Earn gold & experience by farming minions, jungle monsters, and enemies to grow stronger.
• Take down Turrets (towers) to clear the way to their Base.
• Secure objectives like Turtle & Lord for buffs and advantages.
• Destroy the enemy Base (The ultimate goal!).

Sounds simple, right? But trust me, most beginners get caught up chasing kills and forget the real goal. The smartest players focus on objectives, map awareness, and teamwork—and that’s what I’ll help you learn!

But if you want to really learn the game, win more, and improve fast, then paying attention to these fundamentals will make the game even more fun. There’s nothing better than seeing yourself get better and making smart plays that turn games around!

Hero Roles – Find Your Playstyle

Each player picks a hero with a specific role, and understanding your role is crucial to playing effectively. Your team should have a balanced lineup, not five damage dealers running around with no tank!

• Main Job: Absorb damage & protect teammates.
• What to Do:
• Stay in front during fights.
• Check bushes & provide vision.
• Use crowd control (CC) skills to disrupt enemies.
• Don’t steal farm—let damage dealers get gold.

💡 Pro Tip: A good tank sets up fights, not just absorbs damage! Initiate when your team is ready, and don’t dive alone.

⚔️ Fighter – The Balanced Warrior

• Main Job: Fight in close combat, dealing and taking damage.
• What to Do:
• Stay in the EXP lane to farm & get stronger.
• Use durability + damage to duel enemies.
• Split push when needed—help take turrets!

💡 Pro Tip: Fighters are tough, but you’re not invincible—pick smart fights and don’t overextend alone!

🗡️ Assassin – The Silent Killer

• Main Job: Eliminate squishy enemies quickly.
• What to Do:
• Stay hidden & wait for the right moment to strike.
• Target enemy Mages & Marksmen—not tanks!
• Farm early to get strong before fights.

🔥 Mage – The Magic Burst Dealer

• Main Job: Deal high magic damage with skills.
• What to Do:
• Stay in the Mid lane to farm fast.
• Position well—Mages are strong but fragile!
• Use skills wisely—don’t waste mana.

💡 Pro Tip: If a Mage gets caught, they die fast—stay behind tanks and use range to your advantage!

🏹 Marksman – The Late-Game Carry

• Main Job: Deal massive damage from range in late-game fights.
• What to Do:
• Stay in the Gold lane to farm items.
• Avoid fights early—you’re weak at the start!
• Stay behind tanks & let them protect you.

💡 Pro Tip: Marksmen are strongest in the late game. Be patient, farm well, and carry your team later!

✨ Support – The Team Helper

• Main Job: Heal, shield, or buff teammates.
• What to Do:
• Stick with your damage dealers.
• Use healing or shield abilities at the right time.
• Buy support items to boost your team’s survival.

💡 Pro Tip: A good Support can change fights—stay close to allies & never wander alone!

Best Beginner-Friendly Heroes

If you’re just starting out, pick easy heroes that don’t require crazy mechanics. Here are some strong beginner picks:

• Marksman:
• Miya – Fast attack speed, simple skills.
• Layla – Long-range, easy to play.

• Fighter:
• Dyrroth – Good damage & sustain.
• Balmond – Quite tanky, easy skills.

• Mage:
• Eudora – Strong burst, very simple to use.
• Nana – Annoying to fight, great survivability.

• Tank:
• Tigreal – Good crowd control and defense.
• Belerick – High durability, useful in fights.
• Hylos – Annoying to face, huge HP and easy to play.

• Assassin:
• Saber – Straightforward, simple combos.
• Karina – Strong against squishy heroes.

• Support:
• Angela – Easy and helpful to the team.
• Floryn – Provides healing from anywhere.

💡 Pro Tip:

• Personally, I would recommend to start out with mages if you want to really learn the game properly.
• I say this because by playing mages, you will learn a couple of things at once:
• Positioning
• Rotation
• Map awareness, etc.

• It's fine if you dislike the playstyle of mages and prefer other roles instead!

Good Habits & Common Beginner Mistakes

The fastest way to improve is by avoiding common mistakes. Here’s what not to do:

❌ Focusing Only on Kills

• Kills don’t win games—objectives do. Don’t chase enemies too far or take bad fights just for a kill.

❌ Ignoring Farm (Gold & EXP Matters!)

• Gold = Strength. Always kill minions in your lane to get stronger. Don’t waste time wandering aimlessly.

❌ Taking Jungle Creeps When You’re Not the Jungler

• Jungle is for the Jungler only (the one with the Retribution spell). If you’re not the Jungler, don’t steal jungle creeps!

❌ Wasting Time Farming Minions as a Jungler

• Junglers shouldn’t farm lane minions—your job is jungle + ganking lanes to help teammates.

❌ Ignoring the Minimap

• Always check the minimap! Missing enemies? They might be preparing to gank you.

❌ Playing Alone Too Much

• MLBB is a team game. Stick with teammates in the mid/late game instead of roaming solo.

❌ Not Pushing Turrets

• Turrets win games, not kills. Always attack turrets when the enemy is dead or pushed back.

💡 Pro Tip: A kill means nothing if you don’t get an objective from it! Always look for turret opportunities.

❌ Staying in One Lane the Whole Game

• Your job isn’t just to stay in one lane forever. Many beginners farm only in their lane and ignore the rest of the map.

💡  Pro Tip: Once the first few turrets fall, help other lanes and contest objectives instead of farming alone!
